Intergovernmental Organization (IGO) Division
The Intergovernmental Organization Division, is a division of the African Union Sixth Region Global (AU6RG), is committed to nurturing cooperation, collaboration and dialogue with our country diplomats, governments, governmental bodies and other diplomatic organizations. As an intergovernmental organization (IGO), we offer a platform for diplomatic dialogue and policy development, fostering meaningful engagement and proactive solutions that is paramount to our diaspora community and the continent.

Our division role is to promote diplomacy, peace, security, prosperity, and sustainable development through multilateral cooperation and partnership. We work tirelessly to facilitate dialogue, negotiation, and consensus-building, guided by the principles of equality, sovereignty, and mutual respect.
IGO Focus Areas
Diplomacy
IGOs provide a platform for member states to engage in diplomatic negotiations, dialogue, and cooperation on various issues, ranging from peace and security to economic development and environmental protection.
Peace & Security
We work to prevent conflicts, resolve disputes, and promote peaceful resolutions to conflicts through diplomacy, mediation, and peacekeeping efforts.
Humanitarian Assistance
We provide humanitarian aid and support to populations affected by natural disasters, conflicts, and other emergencies, ensuring that they receive the assistance they need to rebuild their lives and communities.
Development & Sustainability
We promote sustainable development, economic growth, and poverty reduction through capacity-building, technical assistance, and support for the implementation of international development goals.
Human Rights & Rule of Law
We uphold and promote human rights, democratic governance, and the rule of law worldwide, working to protect the rights and dignity of all individuals and ensure access to justice and accountability.
Global Health
We address global health challenges, including pandemics, infectious diseases, and health inequalities, by promoting collaboration, innovation, and investment in health systems strengthening and disease prevention.
Global Governance & Multilateralism
IGOs facilitate international cooperation, dialogue, and collective action on global issues.
Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
IGOs offer mechanisms for resolving disputes between nations, such as the International Court of Justice.
